Mission:

The Muckleshoot Canoe Family Program will promote and preserve the traditional practices and customs of the Coast Salish Canoe culture and encourage Muckleshoot Tribal members to participate in these cultural events. This program will provide the opportunities for them to travel in the ways of our ancestors in the traditional waterways and methods used by them. The Annual Canoe Journey is a healing journey which will immerse the participants in a culturally disciplined physical and spiritual journey.
