Program Overview

Rita Martin, Director of Tribal Member Advocacy, is dedicated to the Muckleshoot Tribal Members, Employees and Community members; and has worked for the Muckleshoot Tribe for 40+ years. The Department of Tribal Member Advocacy oversees Adult Protective Services Program, Child & Family Services, Parent Advocate for the Tribal Court.

Services Provided

  • Protection and Advocacy for Muckleshoot Tribal members and families, Employees, and Community Members.
  • Offers resources and solutions
  • Conducts home visits and investigations of complaints
  • Assists in policy and procedures through Court Issues
  • Provides advocates for Elders & vulnerable adults, and Child & Family APS Nurses.
  • Assists in processing documentation
  • Parent Advocates - Assist parents who have children in Muckleshoot Child and Family Services with domestic violence issues, Disability Program through State funding, and provide professional assistance and client referrals.
  • Case Management: Overseen by The Director Tribal Member Advocacy, case managers will be responsible for assisting clients in court.

  • Hiring one more Parent Advocate and two Case Managers assist Muckleshoot Tribal Members
