The mission of the Muckleshoot Senior Services Program is to provide nutrition, cultural, and social quality services to Muckleshoot and eligible elders of 50 years of age and older so they can live a healthy & fulfilling life.

The congregate meal program is intended for elders to have a place to visit, laugh, and enjoy a meal together. Warm nutritious meals are served Monday-Friday 12:00pm-1:30pm. Meals are free for Muckleshoot Elders, and other Tribal Elders enrolled in a federally recognized tribe. All guests are welcome to join us after 12:30pm with a $12.00 lunch fee.
The chore services program's goal is to assist Muckleshoot Tribal Elders with chores within their homes. This program assists elders with taking the worry out. Light housekeeping includes: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, bathroom assistance, etc. To inquire about chore services and applying: please contact Shawn Thurman at: (253) 876-2888.
The Muckleshoot Elders Program assists elders Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM with transportation to medical appointments, shopping trips, paying bills, banking needs, etc. We kindly ask that elders call a minimum of 24 hours prior to schedule transportation. Kindling Services - Muckleshoot Elders may receive 1 (one) bundle of kindling each week between October-Late April. Muckleshoot Elders may stop by the elders building to receive a bundle weekly. Elders may also request for a bundle to be delivered to them if they are residing within Muckleshoot reservation boundaries. Wood Services - The Muckleshoot Elders Program also offers assistance to elders with chopping and stacking their wood. If you would like to request assistance, please contact Jose Rodriguez at (253) 876-2888.
Delivery of hot meals Monday-Thursday are provided to homebound Muckleshoot Elders residing within Muckleshoot reservation boundaries at no cost. Please remember to call if you will not be home for delivery. If 3 consecutive days have been missed without a phone call/notice, you will be removed from the home lunch delivery program until further notice. If you would like to inquire about receiving home-delivered meals, contact us at (253) 876-2888.
The Muckleshoot Elders Program offers a variety of events for elders to participate in each month. Activities range from, basket weaving conferences, bingo, group outings, cultural activities, giveaway item making, canning, medicine making, etc. Muckleshoot Elders may also bring along their spouse, or MEIHSS caregiver.
