Services Provided

Patient Registration

The Patient Registration team registers and maintains HWC records for all patients who receive care at the health center or through outside providers for whom the tribe is financially responsible. It is important for each person to ensure their personal data, including their address, phone number, and insurance information, is the most current.

This is the first step and essential to access all Health and Wellness Center services, including Behavioral Health and MEIHSS.

  • ‍Phone: (253) 939-6648, Ext 3312‍
  • Hours: M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Closed daily 12:00-1:00pm for lunch.

Third Party Billing

Provides insurance billing for on-site HWC services (Medical, Dental, Optical, Pharmacy, and Behavioral Health). This team is also responsible for working on any denials received from the Insurance companies and ensuring that the payments received from the Insurance companies and Third-Party payers are at the contracted rate and all services are accounted for. The revenue generated supports the HWC.

Purchase Referred Care (PRC)

The PRC Department manages claims and payments for all services outside the HWC. They must pay claims per IHS rules, issue Purchase Orders (PO) to assure providers that the Tribe will take financial responsibility, and ensure that the providers bill and process the charges through all other payer sources prior to the Tribe making payment.
