Chairman Jaison Elkins, Vice Chair John Daniels Jr., and Council Member Ungaro met in Washington, D.C., with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Indian Affairs to advocate on behalf of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe. During the meeting, Tribal leadership emphasized the importance of approving an application that would support economic development and strengthen essential government services for the Tribe.
On March 9, 2026 the Washington State House of Representatives opened the legislative session with a moment of prayer and recognition led by representatives of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe.
Council members Anita Mitchell and Louie Ungaro met with DNC Chair Ken Martin.

The Court will be undergoing construction from March 19 through approximately May 5. During this period, all court hearings will be conducted via Zoom.
