
Your vote is your voice! In preparation of the 2026 Tribal Council Election, Muckleshoot Tribal members should familiarize themselves with the following important dates.
If you wish to nominate someone to be a candidate to run in the 2026 Election to fill any vacant position, you must be present at the Public Caucus to be held at the Philip Starr Building in the Cougar Room on October 14, 2025 at 6pm. Nominations can only be made by those present at the Public Caucus. No person may nominate more than one person. Sign-In & Doors Close at 6pm.
If for any reason you would like to vote by mailed absentee ballot, you should request an absentee ballot from the Election Administrator no later than the third Monday of November which is November 17, 2025. Completed mailed absentee ballots must be received at the Election Post Office, PO Box 1697, Auburn, WA 98071-1697 by January 16, 2026.
On the third Monday of January (January 19, 2026) there will be an election to fill three (3) Tribal Council positions. The election will be held at the Philip Starr Building in the Cougar Room from 8am – 8pm.
On Jan 10, our community gathered for the Winter Powwow after the event was postponed earlier in the season due to flooding. Coming together again made the day especially meaningful.
The Native American 40 Under 40 award honors Indigenous leaders under the age of 40 from across the United States who are carrying forward the work of their people through leadership, service and commitment to community.

On Saturday, Jan. 24, the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe opened the Muckleshoot Athletic Center, marking a major investment in training, skill development and long-term athletic opportunity for Muckleshoot people and future generations.
On Jan. 19, the 2026 Muckleshoot Indian Tribe held its annual elections with the winning results as follows: Virginia Cross: 408; Jessica Garcia: 369; Elieen Richardson: 311. Thank you all who participated in this year’s election.
