The month of March is Women’s History Month. We celebrate all the women in our lives and our thankful for all the Muckleshoot women who have fought for our Tribal Sovereignty. The black and white photo is from 1950 it shows women cooking salmon on the Muckleshoot reservation.
On June 26-28, the Muckleshoot community gathered once again for the annual Veterans Powwow, a celebration dedicated to honoring Native Veterans and their families.
Seven determined students were recognized on June 3 at the Muckleshoot Tribal College for completing a rigorous six-month Entrepreneurship certificate program.
In June, Muckleshoot witnessed the graduation of 42 Muckleshoot Tribal Members with college degrees and 134 Muckleshoot Tribal Members who earned their technical education and vocational certificates.
Tribal Council Chairman Donny Stevenson shares sentiments of gratitude and for hosting Tribal Nation, Nisqually, and honors their late Chairman, Ken Choke, who crossed over n his final journey during hosting and protocol.
